How FareTell works
FareTell helps you decide about a trip before you book it. You compare and understand here; you book somewhere else, with a partner. Here is the whole journey, step by step.
From a question to a booking
Say what you are weighing
A route and rough dates, a trip you are still dreaming about, or a fare you already found somewhere else.
See how the fare compares
FareTell compares it with prices found recently for similar trips — same route, same kind of trip, similar dates. Every price shows where it came from and when it was found.
Understand the tradeoffs
What changes if you move the dates, fly from a nearby airport, or accept a stop. What we still do not know is said plainly — “not enough comparable prices yet” is a real answer, not a fault.
Check current prices with a partner
Prices on FareTell are prices we found earlier, not offers. When you are ready, FareTell sends you to a partner site to see what is available right now — and names the partner before you go.
Book with the partner
The partner takes the payment, issues the ticket and handles the booking from there. If you book and the partner counts the booking, the partner may pay FareTell a commission; your price is the same either way.
What FareTell does not do
FareTell is a comparison and decision service, not a travel agency. We never take payment, issue tickets, hold seats, confirm bookings or handle changes and refunds.
We also cannot see, change or cancel a booking you made with a partner. Questions about a booking — seats, changes, refunds, receipts — belong with the partner you booked with.
How FareTell makes money
FareTell is free to use. We make money through affiliate partners: when you follow a link to check current prices, that partner is told we sent you. If you then book and the partner counts the booking, the partner may pay us a commission.
- A click by itself does not pay us anything — only a booking the partner counts can.
- Being paid never changes the price you pay. You pay the partner’s price either way.
- Being paid never changes what we show or which prices we call a deal: the part of our system that compares prices cannot see what partners pay.
- Every partner has an off switch. If a partner’s links or prices go wrong, we switch that partner off — and switching off always beats making money.
Wherever a link can pay us, we say whose site you are going to, and this disclosure sits in the footer of every page:
FareTell may earn a commission when you book through a partner.
